ROLE :
As advisor and legal drafter for the Ministry and its Agencies.
FUNCTIONS :

Providing legal advice with regard to the commodity aspects under the relevant laws under the Ministry and Agency.
- Providing legal opinions on policy and legislated Acts and its implications including drafting of Regulations and Orders.
- Reviewing and drafting of Acts, Regulations, Orders and appointments of members of the Boards.
- Participating in negotiations of European Union-Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade Voluntary Partnership Agreement (FLEGT-VPA).
- Providing legal advice on matters pertaining to international affairs like treaties and negotiations under World Trade Organization (WTO) including Committee on Agriculture and Non-Agriculture.
- Providing legal advice on international treaties.
- Providing legal advice on international matters as directed by the Attorney General’s Chambers.
- Reviewing and vetting of draft treaties, contracts and Ministry’s documentations including draft documentations forwarded by the Agencies.
- Drafting of legal documents for the Ministry.
- Member of Discliplinary Committee for the Ministry and its agencies.
- Member of the Licensing Appeal Committee under the Malaysian Palm Oil Board.
